Connect in a minute

Every assistant uses the same connector URL. You'll sign in to Cerca once and choose Allow.

Claude

  1. 1 Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. 2 Name it Cerca and paste the connector URL.
  3. 3 Click Connect, sign in to Cerca, and choose Allow. It's then available in Claude's desktop and mobile apps too.

ChatGPT

  1. 1 Open Settings → Apps → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
  2. 2 Choose Create app, name it Cerca, paste the connector URL, and pick OAuth.
  3. 3 Sign in to Cerca, choose Allow, then turn Cerca on from the tools menu in a chat.

Any remote MCP client

Add the connector URL as a remote (Streamable HTTP) MCP server. If your tool can't sign in with OAuth, create a personal access token in Settings → AI assistants and send it as an Authorization: Bearer header.

Make it part of your travel planning

Plan trips in a Claude Project or a ChatGPT project? Add this to the project's instructions so every conversation starts from your places.

## Cerca = my place memory
Before recommending anything for a destination, call cerca get_travel_context.
- Treat my "loved" places as the strongest taste signal; rank new picks by similarity.
- Never recommend places I rated disliked or meh.
- Put my want-to-go places there first; show friends' loved places as trusted picks.
- When I say I went somewhere or loved something, offer to rate_place it in Cerca.

What it can see and do

  • It can read your want-to-go list, the places you've rated, your notes, your taste profile, and places that people you follow liked or loved.
  • When you ask, it can save, rate, add notes to, and remove places, and import Google Maps lists.
  • Rating notes show on your public profile. Want-to-go notes stay private.
  • Cerca only sees the requests your assistant makes to Cerca, not your conversation.
  • Disconnect any assistant anytime in Settings → AI assistants.

Questions

Does it cost anything?

No. Connecting an assistant to Cerca is free. Your assistant's own plan is separate.

Which assistants work?

Any assistant that supports remote MCP servers, including Claude, ChatGPT in developer mode, Claude Code, Cursor, and VS Code.

Do I need a Cerca account?

Yes. Your assistant connects to your Cerca account, which is where your places live. Signing up is free.

Can it see my friends' private places?

Only for people you follow who approved your request: the same places you can already see in Cerca.

Is there a limit?

Adding a place by name looks it up on Google Maps, and each account gets 50 of those lookups a day. Everything else, including trip planning from places already in Cerca, is unlimited.
